What we offer:

Class Offerings:

Karate Do -  The primary principles of karate teach students how to block, strike, and kick.  The development of fast reflexes is key to success in mastering this art. The karate program offered at this school also includes aspects of jujitsu and judo, in order to make the students more well-rounded and capable of defending themselves.

Aki Jujitsu- This art does include some strikes, unlike karate it emphasizes the use of joint locks, restraining techniques, throws, and grappling techniques.  The art is made up of both Go (hard techniques) and Ju (soft techniques).

Aikido-  This art, founded by Morihei Ueshiba, uses the energy provided by the attacker to be used against them, whether it be a pushing, pulling, or a striking type of attack.

Kobudo- Training with weapons begins at the purple belt level in the art of karate-do and mid-level, or Jodan rank  for the Aiki Jujitsu program. In the art of Isshin Ryu, students learn the use of the following: Bo staff. Sai, Tonfa, and Nunchucks.   In the art of Aiki Jujitsu: Jo staff, tanto (knife), Katana (sword), bokken (wooden Sword), and Manriki Gusari (chain).

Street Defense-The Street Defense class strips much of the requirements and is geared for those who want to learn some basic self-defense. Students will be taught basic blocks, striking techniques, restraints, basic throws, and defenses against clubs and knife attacks.

Pee Wee Classes- Students ages 4-7 will be considered pee-wees and will be taught  fundamental techniques, blocking, striking, and kicking. They  also will be introduced to fun drills that will enhance their reflexes and mobility.
